· HOW MUCH DO THE CRUISES COST, AND WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? Current rates are published in our brochure and on the itinerary page of this web site.
· HOW DO I BOOK? We recommend that you first check availability of your cruise choice. You will be offered a limited period option or a close alternative. To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total cruise cost must be remitted within the specified period. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of your cruise. If you book less than 8 weeks ahead, you'll need to pay in full right away Your travel agent will be pleased to help with all the arrangements.
· HOW FAR AHEAD IS IT NECESSARY TO BOOK? As early as you can if you're concerned to get your first or second choice cruise. However, last minute bookings are quite acceptable - the chances are we'll be able to offer you a cruise somewhere, even at very short notice. If you're visiting from overseas, allow at least four weeks between con firming your booking and receipt of documents.
· WHO ARE HOTEL BOAT CRUISES DESIGNED FOR? People from all over the world, all walks of llfe and all age groups - from young, single travellers to senior citizens no longer as agile as they were. Younger and more active guests generally enjoy helping the crew at locks and with boat handling.
· ARE HOTEL BOAT CRUISES SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN? Yes, if you charter the entire boat.
· WHAT MEALS ARE PROVIDED, AND CAN YOU CATER FOR SPECIAL DIETS? Breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. All freshly prepared on board by accomplished chefs who will be happy to cater for any special needs. But please give at least two weeks notice to us of your particular requirements.
· WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING? Travel light It's an informal holiday so a large wardrobe is unnecessary Bring casual clothes including a waterproof jacket, warm sweater for cool evenings, soft-sole shoes for wearing on board, and comfortable walking shoes for shore excursions and towpath strolling. A pocket fiashlight is often handy Try to confine your luggage to one soft suitcase which can be stowed easily as storage space on board is llmited.
· HOW DO I FIND THE CRUISE DEPARTURE POINT? Detailed arangements and travel advice are included in our tour documentation, together with the boat telephone number.

Responsibility
UKWH Limited has contracted with Hobo Holidays Ltd., the independent operator of Merganser, to provide the services included in your holiday and is not responsible for negligent acts or omissions of Hobo Holidays, its employees, agents, servants or representatives. The Company is an agent for the boat operator and contracts as agent, not the principal The contract does not take effect until the Company sends written confirmation of your booking to you. The contract is made in England and is governed in all respects by Engllsh law
UKWH Limited is responsible only for the service provided as a booking agent on behalf of the client Whilst every endeavour is made to ensure that the services provided are of the highest standards and in accordance with the descriptions contained in this brochure, we cannot be responsible for services beyond our control. If, owing to circumstances beyond the control of the Company or boat operator, the boat which you have booked is not available, every endeavour will be made to provide a similar alternative. If no alternative is available or the one offered is not acceptable to you, all money paid will be refunded in full and you will have no further claim. UKWH Limited shall not be responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever sustained as a result of delays, necessary changes to schedules or inconvenience during your holiday
All services are offered subject to the terms and conditions applied by Hobo Holidays Ltd. Every effort has been made to ensure that all the descriptions contained in the brochure are correct. However, we are not responsible for any minor inaccuracy which may exist.
· Booking Conditions
Bookings are confirmed by UKWH Limited on the understanding that you have read and accept all the terms and conditions detailed. Note especially the cancellation fees.
· Cancellation
If confirmed arrangements are cancelled within the period shown prior to commencement, or are not cancelled but in the event are not taken up, the following charges apply:
Up to 45 days 100% of total holiday cost; 46-90 days 50% of total holiday cost; 91 days or more 15% of total holiday cost. The cancellation period is measured from date of receipt by UKWH Limited of written notification. We strongly recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance to cover this fee should you have to cancel for medical reasons.
· Refunds & Unused Services
No refund will be made on any holiday service provided and not used.
· Changes
Changes to holiday dates after booking confirmation are liable to count as cancellations and may attract an administration fee of £35.
